Circular, tight mounds of succulent-like, green foliage hold masses of delicate pink star-shaped flowers.
Easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil, Saponaria x. 'Oliviana' tolerates poor rocky or sandy soils. Spreads by runners to form a dense ground cover and requires little maintenance. Easily divided in spring or early fall by division.
Excellent in large and small mass plantings or rock gardens, banks or trailing over walls. Deer resistant and drought tolerant, Can be used in lieu of lawn grass in areas where there is little or no foot traffic. |
