Evergreen, low-growing groundcover with thick cylindrical green leaves. Glowing scarlet flowers covers the succulent foliage throughout the growing season. Extremely drought tolerant and hardy to 6,000 feet in altitude.
Mature height 2 inches with a potential spread of 2 feet, plant at least 9 to 12 inches apart. Drought resistant, do not over water, except during the first growing season.
Attracts butterflies and deer resistant. This plant is so cool, it is cold to the touch. Delopserma thrives in dry, humid conditions in full sun and needs little attention.
Use as groundcover for rock gardens or for slopes to create a dazzling groundcover; perfect for the xeriscape landscape. If planted in container use lots of sand and small gravel to insure good drainage. |
