Plants reach 6 inches tall and 10 to 12 inches wide, dwarf upright plant habit. Growth rate: Moderate, Easy to grow slow spreading herbaceous perennial.
Dark green foliage forms a mound topped by bright pink dense, vertical terminal spikes whose sweet nectar attracts butterflies. It is extremely long-flowering beginning in midsummer and is easy to grow. Plants can be cut back after bloom for appearance and to stimulate a sparse fall bloom.
Veronica is tolerant of a wide range of medium wet, well-drained soil types. Plants are strongest when grown in average, not rich, soil and full sun. Amending very heavy and light soils types with organic matter will result in improved performance, as will as a light mulch and regular water during summer. With too much shade, plants will need staking
A dwarf Veronica perfect for the front of the border or in containers. Excellent as a border plant, ground cover, in mass plantings or along borders, in containers, for cut flowers and its salt tolerant. Attracts butterflies and Deer resistant. |
