PURPLE EMPEROR Sedum
Zones 3 to 7, Full Sun.
Mature size – 15 inches height and 15 to 20 inches wide.
Dark reddish-purple, almost black foliage, with compact purple stems that may brighten to a reddish-purple. In late summer, massive blooms of dusty pinkish purple flowers, that change to bronze.
Plant in full sun with well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types, in dry to medium moist location. Drought resistant. Excellent as cut flowers. A real attraction for butterflies and bees.
