Chasmanthium
PLANTING: Set plants 18 inches apart, in full sun to part shade in a rich, well-drained soil. Good drainage is essential; plants may rot in too wet a soil. For best effect, plant in groups.
MAINTENANCE: Remove faded flowers to extend bloom season. A winter mulch is beneficial. Can be divided every 3 or 4 years in spring or fall to prevent overcrowding.
